Prohibited Items Policy

The following items may not be listed or sold on SplitLocal. Listings that violate this policy will be removed immediately and may result in account suspension or termination.

Illegal and Regulated Items

• Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons of any kind
• Stolen or counterfeit goods
• Items that infringe on intellectual property rights
• Products subject to recall by any government agency

Alcohol and Tobacco

• Alcoholic beverages (including beer, wine, and spirits)
• Tobacco products, e-cigarettes, and vaping supplies
• Cannabis or cannabis-derived products (including CBD in some jurisdictions)

Hazardous Materials

• Toxic chemicals or pesticides
• Flammable or combustible materials
• Radioactive materials
• Biohazardous materials

Health and Safety

• Prescription medications or medical devices
• Unapproved dietary supplements making medical claims
• Raw (unpasteurized) milk where prohibited by state law
• Uninspected meat, poultry, or wild game where regulated
• Products without required safety labeling

Animals and Wildlife

• Live animals
• Endangered species products
• Animal parts or products from protected species

Other Prohibited Items

• Adult or sexually explicit content
• Surveillance or hacking equipment
• Government-issued documents or identification
• Human remains or body parts
• Lottery tickets or gambling-related items
• Multi-level marketing (MLM) products or recruitment
• Services (SplitLocal is for physical goods only)

Reporting Violations

If you see a listing that violates this policy, please report it to contact us. We review all reports and take action promptly.

This list is not exhaustive. SplitLocal reserves the right to remove any listing or suspend any account at our discretion if we believe the item or activity poses a risk to our users or community.
